Beryl Bikes to expand from Watford to Bushey
Watford's Beryl Bikes goes from strength to strength and following the success in Watford with over 400,000 rides and over 1million kilometres cycled across the town, Beryl bikes will be expanding into Bushey.
Ian Stotesbury, portfolio holder for Sustainability and Transport at Watford Borough Council said; "The Beryl Bikes have been incredibly popular and we're so glad that we've been able to work with our neighbours in Hertsmere - we expect that this expansion will make the bikes even more successful and help us make cycling an option for more people - for commuting, travel or fun!".
Paul Richards, portfolio holder for sustainability at Hertsmere Borough Council said; "We are excited to bring the Beryl Bikes to Bushey residents, giving them access to cycling options. The electric bikes will help people of any cycling ability get about and visit our wonderful parks, head to the shops or get to the station."
Beryl Bikes is a bike hire project where residents can access pedal or e-bikes for use across the designated areas - covering Watford and parts of Bushey. You can find out more here: https://beryl.cc/scheme/watford
