Foxhill playground to be improve
Thanks to funding from Watford Council and Watford Community Housing, improvements are set to be made to the playground at Foxhill.
This project aims to create high-quality outdoor spaces for local families. Liberal Democrat-led Watford Council has invested in local parks and playgrounds for many years.
Sham Begum, a local candidate for council, met with the Liberal Democrat Mayor for Watford, Peter Taylor. She lives nearby and often visits the playground with her son.
Peter Taylor, elected Mayor of Watford said:
“Investing in our parks and green spaces is a top priority. Across Watford we have 17 green flag parks, more than anywhere else in Hertfordshire.
“I am really pleased that we have allocated this funding and will be working with Watford Community Housing to make improvements here. We’ve allocated funding from our Neighbourhood Grant scheme, and this will be matched by funding from Watford Community Housing.”
Sham Begum, added:
“This investment is going to be absolutely amazing, I’ve been using this park for years. For all our residents and all the children that go to the local school will really enjoy the new and improved space.”
