Pollarding in Cassiobury Drive

For residents living on Cassiobury Drive between the shops and Bellmount Wood Avenue, the large plane trees have been the source of various problems.

These trees have not been pollarded for several years and have grown enormously, casting the houses into shadow and dropping large volumes of dead leaves in the Autumn.

In response to resident complaints, the WBC/Veolia trees team have agreed to pollard the plane trees and this work has just begun. We expect it will take at least another week and will cause some temporary disruption for traffic. However this should solve the problems for at least the next few years.
