Watford Community Fund supports Pump House Theatre
Lib Dem run Watford Council has used Neighbourhood Grants Fund money to make improvements to the Pump House Theatre and Arts Centre.
The £19,383 is part of £150,000 in total which was spent on community projects last year, with more funding to come when the scheme relaunches later in the year.
Thanks to this support, the venue has undergone significant improvements, including enhanced accessibility and increased security. The exterior has been upgraded, creating an inviting atmosphere. The new accessibility upgrades will ensure easier access for people with disabilities, increasing partipation in the arts locally.
Peter Taylor, the Lib Dem elected Mayor of Watford said:
“The Pump House is a vibrant community space and should be accessible to all. I am proud that our Community Fund is helping to do that.
“Last year we funded 16 projects across the town as part of our Neighbourhood Grant scheme – This year will be even bigger and better, with larger grants available for community projects”
